Pakistan Vs Ireland

Ireland's Campher Stuns Pakistan With Last-Ball Leg Bye

Pakistan Series Loss Marks First Overseas Win for Ireland

In a thrilling encounter, Ireland pulled off a stunning five-wicket victory over Pakistan in the final match of their T20 series on Tuesday. Curtis Campher's leg bye off the penultimate ball sealed the win for the Irish, denying Pakistan a consolation victory after they were eliminated from Super 8s contention.

Pakistan's Chase Falters in Tense Finish

Pakistan, chasing Ireland's total of 183, got off to a strong start thanks to half-centuries from Babar Azam (75) and Mohammad Rizwan (56). However, Mark Adair's three wickets, including those of both openers, slowed Pakistan's progress.

In the final overs, the chase came down to a tense finish with Ireland needing 40 off the last four overs. Pakistan had an over each from Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf left, but Campher's heroics denied them the win.

Ireland Celebrates Historic Series Victory

Ireland's victory marks their first T20 series win overseas. It was also a special moment for Campher, who has been in excellent form for Ireland recently.

"It's an amazing feeling," said Campher after the match. "We knew it was going to be a tough chase, but we stuck in there and got the win in the end."

"To win the series here in Pakistan is a huge achievement for us," added Ireland captain Andrew Balbirnie. "We're delighted with the way we played and we're looking forward to the World Cup."
